English as official language
Of course, the official language of Japan is Japanese. But we study English nearly ten years in school. Unfortunately, most of Japanese believe that we cannot speak English even we studied nearly ten years at school. Not only our feeling, there are some data that show the same result...
This year, UNIQLO and Rakuten both Japanese companies announced that they will make English their official in-house language. Also Rakuten already did their earnings announcement in English, today.
Well, I'm not planning to work for both company, but I should study English more... I might working outside Japan in very near future...
