Finished
I will graduate the college in March. And I'm member of yearbook staff. We started the project of yearbook in 2008. Since then we needed a lot of time to correct pictures, edit, layout the yearbook and so on..
But today, we finished it. All the things that we need to do is just press publish button and pay for it. I made the announcement for all of our classmates. I will pass out it on Monday. So, I will be able to focus on my research. I need to write paper...

In Japan, we are in peak influenza season now. I've never had the influenza until today. But I might have influenza tomorrow. I hope not I won't have influenza because I need to write paper until 10th February. If I have influenza, I might not graduate college... So, I hope not I would have influenza.
There are some precaution. I heard if we keep our room's humidity level at about 60%, virus can't work. Then I bought humidifier. Also, it is important to keep our room's temperature around 20 degrees.
And wash hands, gargle and wearing mask are important...

Quarter Pounder with cheese
On last December, I posted about "Quarter pounder". At that time, I posted that I couldn't try it... But on Monday, I went to McDonald's restaurant that is selling Quarter pounder. Then I bought it. There were two types of quarter pounder, one of that is "Quarter pounder with cheese" and another one is "Double quarter pounder cheese". I ordered "Quarter pounder with cheese" and I ate it.
It was really succulent and I like it. But I don't go there a lot of time then next time won't coming soon... lol
There are a lot of burger stores like McDonald's, Burger King, Freshness burger and etc... One of the Japanese burger restaurant Mos Burger is now selling the new rich burger. Tobikkiri hamburger sandwich. This is the Mos Burger's highly recommend burger. They uses domestically-produced beef only. 100% domestically-produced beef. I think, it is expensive but it must be delicious. If I have a chance to go there, I wanna eat it!
And I will post new post about burger when I will go to the Mos Burger. lol

Checking numbers
There are numbers on bottom of new year's greeting card. It's called お年玉付き年賀状(New Year's greeting card with a lottery number). On Sunday, Japan post the company that was selling that new year's greeting card with a lottery number at the end of last year, released the lucky numbers.
I got some new year's greeting card and I checked it... But...
My new year's greeting cards' numbers were not the lucky numbers... But I won the year end jumbo lottery. And I've not got that yet...

Not so bad but not so good...
On Sunday, I made a presentation in English. It was the contest of presentation. On Saturday, the contest was speech division then I didn't speech I watched speech of student in other colleges. They were really nice...
On Sunday, me and my friends made a presentation and answered a few questions... There were ten teams that made presentation their... We didn't made a big mistake but... We couldn't win...
Unfortunately, we couldn't win but it was really nice opportunity to get motivation to study more... If I can, I wanna do it again in next year...

They must change
After DRM will disappear, we can play music on walkmans, iPods and iPhones. Also, we can change our hard drive easily. I was really appreciate about that. But... There was big problem.
We can download DRM free music on iTunes store in the United States and Europe. In Japan, we can't download billions of DRM free music on iTunes store. Of course, we can download some DRM free music for example EMI is releasing their own music on DRM free. But we can't download other major record companies in Japan... I think, they must change their mind.

Can't use mobile phone in schools

Some news broadcasters were released that Japanese government will release their plan to ban using mobile phone in public schools. This plan is for all students in public elementary schools and public high schools in Japan. Some local governments have already enforced the plan like that.
Most of students didn't have mobile phone when I was elementary school students... But now it is different. Most of students in elementary schools have their own mobile phone. I think, they don't need it.
And this caused the big problem... Bullying...
Using mobile phone, bullying got more insidious. Then the governments are thinking about the plan. The some broadcasters says the plan will release in end of January.
How do you think? Does they need their own mobile phone?

Crazy in Obama
Most of my friends are not care about the inauguration because he is not Japan's prime minister. He will be the president of the United States, not Japan. But for TV stations, it's really big event. Now, I'm watching special program. I saw Obama many times in this program...
I changed the channel but other program shows him to us again....
Of course, he will be the important people to all over the world. But these people in Japanese TV stations are crazy, I think.
Anyway, I hope Obama will change the world... God bless all over the world.

Tough weekend
I had to wear suit on Saturday, but I felt I can’t wear it... First, I touched my neck and left shoulder by my right hand. It was not swelling. But I felt very strong pain when I touch.
I think, I need to warm my affected area. I heard these stories that it is better to warm when affected area is not swelling. And it is better to cool down when affected area is swelling.
I found warmer and I put it on my left shoulder. After I put it, I tried to raise my left hand. When my left shoulder raised at shoulder height, very strong pain covered me. I tried to rotate my neck, I couldn’t do it.
About 2 hours passed, warmer made my pain better. But I couldn’t raise my left shoulder up to my shoulder and I couldn’t turn around my head.
It’s time.
I need to change my clothe.

I came back. I still had a different feeling. I couldn’t rotate my neck and I couldn’t raise my left shoulder. But I need to do my homework. I needed to write report until Monday. I typed keyboard like “L”.
I typed 2 pages. But it was my limitation... I slept at that time.
On Sunday morning, I still had a different feeling. I couldn’t rotate my neck and I couldn’t raise my left shoulder. I had to go to part time job...
After the part time job, I typed keyboard again. I finished it at 25.30...
Now, I could rotate my neck but I can’t raise my left shoulder yet.

Aquos came to my house
Aquos LCD TV came to my on Saturday. Or more like there was Aquos LCD TV when I came back.
Basically, I don't watch TV but I felt LCD TV is really beautiful. Don't you think so? The wide screen is nice.
Anyway, there are some problems like... Some commercial messages were not recorded in HD then there were some waste places on TV. Characters located on around center. There are too many buttons on remote controller. But I wanna watch movies on this beautiful LCD. :D
And I the cumbersome letters on right was disappeared but new cumbersome logo appeared on same place. The station's logo such like "フジテレビ(Fuji television)", "日テレ(Nihon television)", or something like that. Do you know how to disappear these useless logos?

Full HD
On Tuesday's post, I posted an article and movie. It was Full High Definition movie but the size converted into smaller size when I uploaded to blogger...
I didn't have digital video camera and I didn't want to buy digital video camera but... I changed my mind after I watched the tutorials of iMovie '09... lol
I think, it is fun if we can take HD movie during our travel. We can enjoy taking HD movie, editing movie and watch the movie... I will go to Okinawa with my friends in March. So, I wanna take movie there. I believe that travel will be nice.
Anyway, I chose Full HD digital video camera not HD digital video camera. I chose Sanyo's xacti. It looks nice. I didn't think most of digital video cameras are not looks good... But xacti is different from other ones. It's ergonomics design is really nice. Then I chose it... I hope I will upload many movies on this blog... lol

Fun Mon Curry
About half of a year have passed since I found that restaurant. At that time, I and my friend decided to go there together.
Long long time passed but today, we went there!
Chef of that curry restaurant are Indian nationals. The restaurant had a nice mood. The curry was authentic Indian food.
It looks spicy but it was not so spicy. It was good.

The coming of age ceremony
Yesterday was coming of age day. I'm 20 years old now then this was my turn. Some friends suggested Japanese kilt to me but I didn't know how to get it. And I think its image was not good... Then I wore new suit that I bought last week.
Most of my friends came to the ceremony with wearing suit. In the ceremony I met a lot of old friends. It was really nice time but I think there were too many people there. You can check it by the movie on top.
In the ceremony, most of women wore Kimono and most of men wore suit like me. But some men wore Japanese kilt, and some women wore suit. I think this is the big event in our life then we should wear good wear. How do you think?

Snow?
Today's weather was mostly rain. Even in rural side of Tokyo it was rain. But it was really cold... In the morning, I found TV crew at station near my house. My friend told me they were broadcasting about snow news from that station. But it was not snow... I think, they made mistake. They should go to other place.

Anyway, weather forecast says "it will be snow tomorrow even in center of Tokyo". I'm not living in center of Tokyo. I'm living in rural side of Tokyo and snow will be deeper than center of Tokyo. They said, center of Tokyo will have snow 3 cm deep.
I like watching snowing. But I don't like snow in cities. It is difficult to go outside after the snow. I hope these snow will disappear as soon as possible... LOL

Seven herbs
Today is 7th January. It is the day to eat rice porridge with seven herbs (七草粥'Nanakusagayu') in Japan. The seven herbs in this season are Japanese parsley (芹'Seri'), Shepherd's purse (薺'Nazuna'), cudweed (母子草'Hahakogusa'), chickweed (蘩蔞'Hakobe'), henbit (小鬼田平子'Koonitabirako'), Brassica rapa (蕪'Kabu') and Japanese radish (大根'Daikon'). These are seven spring herbs.
Of course, I ate it today but there were only two herbs... In Japan, we can live healthy this year if we eat rice porridge with seven herbs in 7th January. I heard this custom came from China. I don't know about in China but I think there is this custom in China still.

Ready for the coming of age ceremony
Next Monday, is the coming of age day. Now, I'm 20 years old and I will go to the coming of age ceremony with my friends. In the coming of age ceremony, most of women will wear Kimono and most of men will wear suit but some will wear Kimono. I will wear suit but I need to buy the one. Then I went to shop near my house on Sunday. I bought a suit, shoes, shirt, tie and coat. I needed to adjust the length I ordered it on Sunday. It took a little time. Today my suit came to me!!
The photo on the top is my new tie. I will wear it on Monday.

A Happy New Year
A Happy New Year!
Most of stores were closed yesterday. But today, most of stores are selling "福袋(Fukubukuro)" (lucky bag). In lucky bag, we can buy many "not for sale" things. Or we can buy cheaper than its real price. I didn't go to these stores today, but I went to Starbucks on Thursday. Then I bought a lucky bag their. Its price was 5,000 yen. Inside the lucky bag, there were 3 types of coffee, tumbler, coffee maker and pass case. I love to use new coffee maker, because old one's plastic changed its shape and it's tough to use even for me. I think, old one is cheap then I should refuse to fix it... (My old coffee maker was about 900 yen, I think.)
Anyway, I posted about "Year end jumbo lottery". You can check it from here. On that article, I wrote "I can't win the lottery". Winners of "Year end jumbo lottery" announced on Wednesday. I didn't check on live but I checked it on Thursday. It was easy to check all of my ticket because I bought only one ticket. LOL I found my number!! But it was 7th grade then I won only 300 yen. I bought it 300 yen then my 300 yen came back to me. From next Tuesday, I can get it in lottery shop. I will go there as soon as possible.
