Earthquake early warning
1 October 2007, Japan Meteorological Agency started their new service about earthquake. They started Earthquake early warning (緊急地震速報:Kinkyujishinsokuho). Japan Meteorological Agency will warn you about earthquake before it'll happen. But this warning will announce in case of big earthquakes. And this warning will announce you just a few seconds before. I think, this is really nice service because we can run away or stay in safe place before earthquake if we could know this information.
Six month have passed since this service had started. They didn't warn for us because there were no big earthquake until yesterday. But today, they warned for people of Miyako-jima, Okinawa. It was first time to use this service. At 2:32 a.m. Japan Meteorological Agency announced that big earthquake will happen in Miyako-jima soon. But it was too late for them. It's happened 5 seconds before warning. And this was not so big earthquake.
I think, this is very difficult to predict earthquake correctly. But today, Japan Meteorological Agency could predict earthquake. And their predict was nice. So, I would believe their warning when I heard their warning.

30,000 of people
Yesterday, it's happened in luxury hotel in Tokyo. The Peninsula Tokyo. 47 years old office worker died in expensive room. Maybe, this will be the big blemish for The Peninsula Tokyo. But The Peninsula Tokyo is new hotel in Tokyo. It's opened in October 2007.
I can't understand why they are dying by their selves. Many people in the world can't live tomorrow. But over 30,000 of people decided to die by their selves even they can live tomorrow. They must think about these facts.
Why do you want to die by yourself?

anniversary
It's a special day for Disney enthusiasts in Japan. I heard one woman's story. She is living in Nagoya and she is one of enthusiast of Disney. She comes to Tokyo DisneyLand every month I heard. (Distance between Tokyo and Nagoya is not so short. I think, we need about 2 hours to get to Nagoya if we use Shinkansen.) BTW, she came to Tokyo DisneyLand at 3 a.m.. And she waited until its open time. Today's opening time was 8.30 a.m.! Can you believe it? I can't wait such a very long time...
They don't plant deciduous trees and don't put clocks on their park. These are their policy. Various attractions and these policy made them very famous. Now Tokyo Disney Resort is the best theme park in Japan. I think, even in Asia.
Anyway, I heard their plans for near future. They're planning to build another theme park. They will build it in Osaka or Nagoya or Fukuoka. This theme park will be different from Tokyo Disney Resort but it will be related with Disney. But why will they build another theme park near Tokyo? It is really easy question. There are not enough estate near Tokyo Disney Resort. Then, they're planning to build another one in another big city in Japan. I think, they won't build it in Osaka. Because Universal Studios Japan is in Osaka. It is famous and many people visit USJ. Maybe they'll build another theme park in Fukuoka or Nagoya. But it is about after 2010.

The human rights questions
In London, in Paris and in San Francisco Olympic torch relay was not good. But I thought that we need to act for the big mistake of Chinese government. Olympic is one of the biggest sports festival in the world. So, I thought leaders of us shouldn't boycott Olympic for players and their supporters.
Of course, Chinese government doing extremely bad thing for people of Tibet. And we must not ignore it.
But obstructing the torch relay in Paris and London were not good. But we must keep doing demo near torch relay. Of course, these demo must not be violent thing. But we must demo with nonviolence. Nonviolence is very important.
I hope that Tibetan will be free from Chinese government.
Today, I have one more thing.
On Thursday, Kunio Hatoyama Minister of Justice of Japan announced that they executed four condemned criminals. This is third time after he became this post. And executed 10 condemned criminals.
Capital punishment... In my opinion, we must not keep capital punishment as penalty. Capital punishment is ignoring human rights. Why are executioners not criminals? I think, they are criminals too.
Their are no people who can execute. Executing is not penalty but murder.

UP & DOWN
On Tuesday, the tax about gasoline decreased. Because Japanese government couldn't pass their tax plans about gasoline. The price of gasoline was about 150 yen per a liter on March. But now it is about 130 yen per a liter. About 20 yen cheaper. It's good for drivers but I think it is bad for our future life. I mean, many people use more gasoline than before then it'll cause of increase of CO2... We must decrease CO2 for our future life...
Many prices changed on Tuesday. For example, milk. Nippon Milk Community Co., Ltd decided to increase their milk price. Japanese government increased flour price from Tuesday. It was 30%. And this made many things' price increase. Bread, Udon and etc... Even oil, beans, soy, miso and more. These price increase made us increase our Engel's coefficient.
And prime minister Yasuo Fukuda announced that "We'll try to pass our tax plan about gasoline as soon as possible". If the plan passed, gasoline price will increase again. I mean it'll back to the price before April.
Before that I'll try to get Prius, then decrease my gasoline use. LOL
