Mega-moji started

I'm subscribing Yomiuri Shimbun. And they started to renew their newspaper on Monday. They changed their size of character. They call this change "Mega-Moji". "Moji" means letter. Yomiuri Shimbun is the giant of Japanese newspaper. Then, the second largest newspaper Asahi Shimbun also changed the size of letter too. I think, this change is really nice. It is better than before for our eyes.

Anyway, these days Japanese company like to use "Mega". For example, "Mega-gyudon". "Mega-gyudon" is one of the beef bowl that Sukiya is selling in Japan. But "Mega-gyudon" is three times as much as usual size of beef bowl. You can check the size of this beef bowl at "http://www.zensho.com/menu/recommend071016.html". I think, "Mega-moji" is nice but "Mega-gyudon" is not so good... Also McDonald's started "Mega-Mac" in Japan last year. This is bigger than "big-mac". It's like super-size. I don't like it because I watched "Super size me". LOL

Even more, there are a lot of "Mega" things in Japan. They use "Mega" many times. Visit Japan and search "Mega". LOL

Thank you for your reding!

Cherry blossom in Tokyo

Japan Meteorological Agency announced that cherry blossom in Tokyo flowered on Saturday. Then I went to park near my house today and yesterday. Yesterday I couldn't take good photos but today, I could take good photo. I uploaded one of these photos.

There were a lot of people who came to see cherry blossom today. But yesterday there were not so many people who came to see cherry blossom. And I felt cherry blossom was not so good yesterday. Then I thought, this is why there were no so many people who came to see cherry blossom yesterday.

Now you can see beautiful cherry blossom in Tokyo. So, if you have a chance come to Tokyo and enjoy cherry blossom. Or you can enjoy great restaurants that printed in Michelin guide Tokyo. LOL

Japanese fall

There are no governor in our country's central-bank.

I think, it is really big problem.
Maybe most of diet members knows that this is emergency. But the Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) refused the plan of Prime Minister Fukuda. But the Liberal-Democratic Party (LDP) didn't change their plan. Then, there are no governor in Bank of Japan.

Prime Minister Fukuda felt the responsibility for this problem. Said on his e-mail magazine. And he said like "I know this post is really important for Japanese economic and our lives. Then I felt I must chose right person for governor.".

He chose Toshiro Muto first. He was vice governor in Bank of Japan. And he was working for the Ministry of Finance before. But DPJ refused it because he was working for the Ministry of Finance before.

Then, he chose Kouji Tanabe. He is governor in Japan Bank For International Cooperation. And he was working for the Ministry of Finance before too. So, DPJ refused it too.

I think there are two miss points. First, why did the Democratic Party of Japan refuse two persons who worked for the Ministry of Finance before? It is not so big problem, I think.

Second, why did the Liberal-Democratic Party not change the person who was not working for the Ministry of Finance before? DPJ said like we won't permit the person who was working for the Ministry of Finance before. Then it's proper result. So, LDP needed to change their plan.

In any case, they have to decide the new governor in Bank of Japan very very soon.

Mystery on Windows

I'm always using Mac but sometimes I'm using Windows too. I'm wondering every time when I wanna shut off the Windows. We have to press "start" to shut off the Windows.

I think, it is not "start". But it is finish. I was using Windows 2000. And I'm using Windows XP on MacBook. Both of them, we have to press "start" when we wanna shut off Windows. I don't know about Windows Vista but maybe it's same way.

I heard that we can shut off Windows with "alt+F4". It is really nice short-cut-key. Most of application on Windows can shut off by this short-cut-key. It's like "command(⌘)+Q" on Mac.

And I'm wondering about version of Windows. I searched on Wikipedia about Windows. Then I got that Windows NT 4.0 is version 4.0. Windows 2000 is version 5.0. But Windows XP is not version 6.0. Windows XP is version 5.1. Why. I also checked about Windows Vista. Windows Vista is 6.0. And some bloggers wrote about new version of Windows. Windows Vienna. I think, it is version 7.0.

I have three questions about Windows.
1. Why we have to press "start" when we wanna shut off Windows.
2. Why Windows XP is not version 6.0.
3. What is NT?
Tell me why.

Killer bridge.

Life in Japan

I always my bicycle to go to my college. When I ride my bicycle I always feel that the bridge on the road is very dangerous. Look at the picture. This is the bridge name "歩道橋(pedestrian bridge)".

The pavement is very narrow because of pedestrian bridge. But I think this case is better one. I know pedestrian bridge that more dangerous than this one. There are many pedestrian bridges in Japan. Because many cars are running on the road so, we can't cross these road without pedestrian bridges.

But I felt a little weird. Many cars are running on the road but they can stop. If driver found the people who is waiting on the pavement, they must stop their car. If cars stopped, they can cross the road. And we don't have to use pedestrian bridges.

I think, it is hard to use pedestrian bridges for older person. There are stair and these are very steep. If we don't use pedestrian bridges, there are no reason to set new pedestrian bridge. Maybe we can remove it for our safety.

In fact, I wanna remove all of these pedestrian bridges. It is dangerous when I pass around pedestrian bridges by bicycle.

One more thing.
I think, we need bicycle only lane on road. Please built it!!

Life in additional time

Drama in Japan

Every Saturday, "Life in additional time" is on air. This is the story about life after death. Hero in this drama always die very first in this drama. But the story start from here. This is the story of their additional time.

Suddenly, people who are wearing yellow shirts come to hero. One of them has the display. Display shows us how long can hero enjoy their additional time. If you have a chance, you should watch this drama.

BTW, most of Japanese don't call "additional time". We call it "loss time". When we talking about football game. When we playing football. Even the TV program use "loss time".

And I believed that is "loss time". But I got "loss time" is not usual in Europe or the United States. I don't know why most of Japanese call it "loss time".

I think it is Japanese English. There are many Japanese English like "loss time". I know many Japanese English.  I'll introduce some. "Pear look", "Half", "High tension", "Lifting" and more.
"Pear look" means dressed in same outfits. "Half" means people who's father or mother is foreigner for example Eurasian. "High tension" means very excited. "Lifting" means soccer ball juggling. Maybe you can find these Japanese English if you come to Japan. If you have a chance, you can come to Japan and search these Japanese English. LOL

Restructure in Japanese mobile phone scene.

Give up in mobile phone

On Monday, Mitsubishi Electric announced that they gave up on department of mobile phone. Because of ripe in Japanese mobile phone market.

Mitsubishi Electric have made mobile phone for NTT DoCoMo since 1983. NTT DoCoMo is the biggest and most first mobile phone company in Japan. And they are selling their newest series of mobile phone 705 in Japan. Mitsubishi Electric already made D705i, the newest mobile phone for NTT DoCoMo. Their latest mobile phone D705i is slide type and its have big and beautiful display on it. But recent years their sales is not good and its share was only 3 percent. Most of mobile phone selling in Japan is 3G and it's too expensive to developement. Some say its cost is over 10 billion yen. And they always release their new one in 3 times in a year. I think, it is really hard to survive.

Not only Mitsubishi Electric, Sanyo gave up these departments too in January. Casio and Hitachi are making their mobile phone together.

But I have one big wonder. I think, Japanese maker is famous in the world. But they are not famous in mobile phone market.
Why?

Japanese mobile phone maker is making really high spec model in Japan but I don't need such a high spec model. Now we can watch TV on our mobile phone. But most of people feel they don't need these function. And I feel so.

There are 3 providers in Japan. It's SoftBank mobile, Au and NTT DoCoMo. First we choose provider then, we choose mobile phone. But we can't use D705i in Softbank and Au. These years, they are releasing 3G service FOMA, WIN and SoftBank 3G. Now, these services are most popular series in Japan. In 3G, we can download movies and songs very fast.

Additional information, some sites announcing that Apple will release iPhone in Japan this summer. I like the design of iPhone and I wanna use iPhone. So, I will buy iPhone after they will release iPhone.

Obama loves Obama

Do yo know Obama
Yes, he is one of the candidate for the United States President. And we can see this name in Japan too. Not only newspapers and TV shows. We can see this name in the atlas of Japan. We can see it in Fukui Prefecture. Its name is Obama-shi.

And this city became famous because people in the Obama-shi announced that they'll cheer Mr. Obama. They made their trademark, I upped the image on top.

Now, they might happy be because Obama is working well in election in the United States. And I hope Obama will be the next president of the United States.
