After the Festa

I watched the match Japan vs Paraguay on TV yesterday. They couldn't win, but they did great job, I felt. According to some news media, viewing rate on TV marked 64.9% during the game. (That was the highest viewing rate ever at that station, I heard.)

This morning, most of news started with this news that Japan national team couldn't be the last 8 at 2010 World Cup. BTW, I felt that they are playing really nice and they might be able to better position at World Cup next time in Brazil. (I hope so)

Anyway, I have a lot of games that I want to watch. But most of games will start at 27.30 in JST. I mean 3.30 am. The game will end around 5.30 that means I will not be able to sleep well until 12 July...

I want to watch the game Brazil vs Argentina at final match, but I want Spain to be the champion of 2010 World Cup... lol
What's your opinion? Which team will be the champion?

Thank you.
Good day & Peace and Smile!

Go Go Samurai Blue!

The photo on top is my T-shirts that I got in 2006...

I forgot when did they start to wear blue uniform, but now they are wearing blue uniform and we call them "Samurai Blue". I believe that they were wearing blue uniform in 1998 World Cup in France, but I forgot they were wearing blue uniform before that or not.

I think, they were not so strong. But now they are trying to beat Paraguay and be the last 8.

Japan national team's coach Takeshi Okada told that they will be the last 4 in 2010 World Cup South Africa. Most of Japanese didn't believe it before they won against Cameroon. But I think, most of Japanese will watch today's game. The game will start at 11.00 pm in JST. Of course, I will watch it!

Anyway, if they could beat Paraguay tonight, this will be the historical football game for Japan national team. They have never been the last 8 in World Cup.

Now, it's time to watch the football game Japan vs Paraguay!!

Thank you.
Good day & Peace and Smile!

Chuo freeway will be realized?

From today tolls on some highways became free. Most of highways that toll became free were located in rural area. I'm living near Chuo highway(中央自動車道), but I'm not using it so much... Chuo highway is not elected as the government's social experience on free highways. But they were saying that they will make all of highways toll-free.

So, Yumi Arai's (Yumi Matsutoya) song "中央フリーウェイ(Chuo freeway)" might be realized soon. lol

Thank you.

A day after

These days, I'm in a little bit crazy days.

On Thursday morning, I went to SoftBank shop to get my iPhone 4. I've already pre-ordered it so I didn't have to wait so long time... After that I went to college to do my research a little bit... lol

I went to Korean BBQ party with my friends at Gyukaku in the evening. After I came back, I post an article for my blog (That's the review of iPhone 4). From 23.00, I started to watch football game Italy vs Slovakia on TV. (I wanted Italy to win the game, but they couldn't...)

After the game, I started to make some materials for my presentation on Monday. (I'm still doing this...) The presentation is about environment, but it's out of my course so it's difficult for me to collect sufficient materials well.

From 27.00 (3.00 am), I turned on TV again to watch the football game Japan vs Denmark. I was sooooooooo sleepy at that time, but I watched full time of game on TV. I felt it's really nice because Japan could pass group league!!! Wonderful free kicks by Honda and Endo were nice. And and... (I saw many wonderful plays in both team but I should not write these one this time... lol)

At 7.00 am, I decided to sleep a little bit. ...zZZ

I woke up at 9.30 am when someone rang doorbell. That was courier and I've got big cardboard box. The photo below is that big cardboard box.

It might be difficult to imagine how big it is...

So here is another photo with iPhone 4 bumper that was inside the box.

I think, it's too big for iPhone 4 bumper...
Now I'm using this and I like it.

Of course, I went to the college after that and did my research a little bit. Also, I played five a-side with my friends.

Also I went to drinking party with my lab members after that. I think, I went to drinking party too much, these days...

Thank you.
Good day & Peace and Smile!

iPhone 4

This morning, I've got iPhone 4 at SoftBank shop. I had already pre-ordered so, I didn't have to line up in front of the shop. I could get it smoothly and now I'm using iPhone 4.

I've used it 12 hours since I've got it, but today I'm gonna write a little review of iPhone 4 on this article.

First of all, display.
I felt, it's really great and beautiful. I couldn't see pixels on the screen. I think, it's tough to compare them online, but you can compare them at the store. You should check the real device at the store or somewhere you can check it...

Second: Camara
I didn't have much time to take photos after I got it, but I felt it's better than my iPhone 3G because it was pan-focus camera and now I can use AF camera on iPhone 4. I think, I should review camera after I would take more photos on my iPhone 4, but I think I don't have to bring my old compact digital camera. Mostly, it's enough, I think.
Anyway, I don't like digital zoom, but it's phone.
Also, iPhone 4 include LED flash and it's good to take photos at dark place. I couldn't take these photos with iPhone 3G...

Third: Hardware Design
It became thinner, and curve disappeared. I preferred design of iPhone 3G, but I think it's OK. Volume buttons became easily to push.

Fourth: Speed
I surprised this point the most. Every apps woke up faster than iPhone 3G. Now I don't have to wait to load TL on Echofon for iPhone.
Also multitasking (or I should say Fast app switching?) works nice. I can switch apps really fast.

Fifth: Battery life
About 12 hours since I've got one so, I should check it more but I felt it's better than old one. I used many apps again and again today, but it's ok.

Sixth: Bluetooth Keyboard
I think, iPhone 3GS with iOS 4 can use Bluetooth Keyboard. So, I should not write it on this article, but I couldn't use it with my iPhone 3G and I was really waiting for this function. Then I'm writing about this with my Bluetooth Keyboard connected to my iPhone 4. lol

And more...
I didn't have much time to upload and take photos and videos with iPhone 4, so I'm not planning to upload them today. But I will do that soon. I'm gonna upload some on flickr and Facebook. So, please check it! ;D

Thank you.

Few days with my iPhone 3G

The photo on top of this article might become my last photo that I took on my iPhone 3G. I've already got a voice mail from SoftBank Mobile on Monday. According to that, I will be able to get iPhone 4 on Thursday morning. I pre-ordered it on Tuesday(not yesterday). I heard many people lined up in front of the sotre, but I didn't have to do so at that time. Also, I heard about 80 people are lining up in front of SoftBank Shop in Omotesando, Tokyo now.

BTW, I updated my iPhone 3G's OS into iOS 4 on Monday morning. I surprised because it took nearly 2 hours to update it... But it's worth to update it.

Now I can make folder on it, add user's dictionary, 5x digital zoom on still camera, google and wikipedia search from its spotlight, control location services easily and more. But I felt it became a bit slower than before...

Anyway, I wanna say "Thank you" to my iPhone 3G, I've been using it nearly 2 years.

Thank you.

55.4%

55.4% It is the highest viewer rate during the football game Japan vs Holland. I couldn't watch the game, but most of Japanese watched the game on TV. The average viewer rate during the game was 43%, I head.

The game started at 20.30 in JST and I think, it was the best time to watch TV... lol

Anyway, Japan lost the game but we have a hope to pass group stage. If they would win or draw against Denmark on Thursday, they will be able to pass it.

I believe that they would not lost the game, if Junichi Inamoto(稲本潤一) would play on the pitch.

WHY?

Because I heard one jinx (not negative meaning). According to that, all of international matches that Junichi Inamoto played, Japan didn't lose the game.

I hope they will win again with Junichi Inamoto. lol

Thank you.

naked dance

I didn't have positive image on Yukio Hatoyama, Japanese former Prime Minister. I felt he was not thinking his joub seriously. But these days, I had 2 chances to know more about him.

First of all, I've got a resume of his presentation at Tokyo Institute of Technology on 5th June. I didn't attend that presentation because I'm not student of Tokyo Institute of Technology and I didn't know that he would make his presentation there.

Anyway, after I read the resume, I could know about his opinion a little bit, And I felt he is kind of idealist. He believe that Japan need more doctor course students for innovation and I agree with his opinion in this point, but I don't think his opinion to aid for all of public senior-high school students are not so good. (This system has already been enforced...) I think, it will not trigger to increase number of doctor course students. I think, there are other better ways to increase it.

Secondly, the video. The video on top is Dreak Sivers's presentation at TED. I sometimes watch TED's video on YouTube but I didn't watch it until I read Yukio Hatoyama's tweet. He tweeted "「裸踊り」をさせて下さったみなさん、有難うございました(Thank you for all of my supporters who joined my naked dance*)", some people pointed that he wanted to say about the presentation that Dreak Sivers made at TED.

The title of his presentation is "How to start a movement". I could understand that why Yukio Hatoyama tweeted such word on Twitter after his resignation.

*I translated his tweet into English, but I think there are better translation.

Thank you.

I'm 21 years old, but do you know the age of the internet? I didn't know that but I think it is older than me.

Here is the result. If you click this link, you will see the image above. The image on this article is the age of the Internet when I started to write this article today. According to that, the Internet is older than me... lol

World cup world cup world cup!

These days, I watch many football games on TV and I can't do anything that I need to do... lol
(Of course, I'm doing these things...)

Not only the games of Japan but I try to watch as many as possible, because I like it. Anyway, games start at 20.30, 23.00 and 27.30 in JST. So, 27.30 is distant idea for me. And I've never watched the game that start at 27.30 (3.30).

But there were some games that I wanted to watch at that time. North Korea vs Brazil is the one of them, and I didn't watch it... I hope most of games that I want to watch will start not at 27.30... lol

Thank you.

Rainy season?

On Monday, the Japan Meteorological Agency announced that the rainy season began in Kanto area. But on Tuesday, it was nice weather in daytime, but rainy in evening. And today it was raining in the morning, but it was nice weather after that. According to the weather forecast, tomorrow will be nice weather again...

I have a one big question: Is it real?

It not looks like rainy season, it like usual summer days... Yeah, it's good for me because I don't like rainy days, but I think it is time for rain. I hope the rainy days will back to us...

Thank you.

Hayabusa

These days, there are many things that makes Japanese happy. First one is the football game that Japan could win against Cameroon yesterday. Another one is the great mission of Hayabusa.

I've never heard the artificial object that came back to the earth by themself until Sunday. But JAXA made it!

The asteroid explorer "MUSES-C" as known as "Hayabusa" was launched on 9th May, 2003. And that traveled the space more than 7 years. Hayabusa landed the minor planet "Itokawa" and research many things, get data and it might get sample of sands in Itokawa. It came back to the earth at midnight on 13th June, 2010.

There were no TV station that were broadcasting Hayabusa's re-entry to the earth atmosphere, but I could watch it on Ustream.tv. I heard there were more than 210,000 people who were watching it online. The capsule that Hayabusa separated, landed in Australia. BTW, the sample that Hayabusa collected will be analyzed in JAXA's Sagamihara campus from 18th June. At that time, we will know which Hayabusa could do their mission perfectly or not. Of course, if Hayabusa couldn't, it's ok because Hayabusa did great job!

JAXA is now trying to launch another Hayabusa, but there is one big problem. That is budget. The government didn't prepared the enough money for JAXA. I strongly think that the government should stop "Child Allowance", "free public senior high school tuition" and "Elimination of highway tolls", but they must pay more for JAXA and other technology projects!

Anyway, all I want to write today is "welcome back" for Hayabusa and "great job!" for Japan national team of football.
Thank you.

Gooooooooooal!

I searched the word "World Cup" on google.com, and I found the brilliant result on Google search... lol

The photo on top is the result that I surprised. Usually, it must be "Gooooooooogle" but now it's "Gooooooooooal!". I think, Google is really unique and have really nice sense.

Anyway, the World Cup 2010 South Africa have been hold since last Friday and I watched some of football games on TV. For example, South Africa vs Mexico. Also I followed text flash news on my iPhone with South Korea vs Greece and Argentina vs Nigeria. I wanted to watch Uruguay vs France and England vs USA, but I couldn't watch it on time because of time differences. (both game started at 3.30 a.m. in JST) Of course, I checked them on sports news.

I could enjoy these wonderful games, and now I'm willing to watch today's game Japan vs Cameroon. I hope the game will be the great one!

Thank you.

Recycling foods?

Today I found the truck in the supermarket. On the side of luggage career, I found the phrase next to the company name. That was "food recycling(食品リサイクル)".

I've never heard the word "food recycling". I believed the "recycling" is for plastic bottles, mobile phones, and so on. But I found that.

I searched it after i came back and I found that the food recycle is the way of abolishment on foods. Of course, I didn't believe that we eat passed-over foods, but I felt a little bit weird when I found it...

they should think more

These days, I used to write articles that about Japanese politics... Also today's one is Japanese politics...

The house of councilors election will be hold in this summer and leading members of parties are now working hard. They are asking some to become candidates for this summer's election. Mostly they are asking for celebrities such as former newscasters, gold medalists, famous managers and so on.

Sometimes I felt, it's not good decision.

For example, Ryoko Tani. She is one of the most famous judoka and she decided to be the candidate of the Democratic Party of Japan. Also, she said she is interested in continuing her career as judoka.

If she were former newscaster or a superb manager, she should be the candidates. But she is not.

Not only for her, there are many former TV talent who are working as member of the house now. I think, some leading members of parties asked them, because they wanted to catch onto the popularity of these talent.

I think, they should think more...

Thank you.

91.3%

On Monday, Japan Newspaper Publishers and Editors Association (the Nihon Shinbun Kyokai :日本新聞協会) announced their research about newspaper. I don't know how did they hold the survey, but according to their research 91.3% of people read newspaper and average spent time on newspaper in weekday morning is 24 minutes. Also, respondents answered that they read morning paper on 5.2 days in a week (average).

I read newspaper every morning, and I'm spending about 15 minutes on newspaper in every morning, I think.

BUT

I think, these ratings are quite high. I don't think 91.3% of Japanese read newspaper in their usual life, because most of my friends don't read newspaper. They read news online or on TV. So, I cannot believe this research... Did someone made a big mistake?

I want to know how many people do not read newspaper...

Thank you.

How long will he stay in office?

The approval rating for Yukio Hatoyama's cabinet was just 19.1% (http://sankei.jp.msn.com/politics/situation/100605/stt1006051704012-n1.htm). Most of the cabinet stayed in office, just the Prime Minister of Japan have changed to Naoto Kan. But the approval rating for Naoto Kan's cabinet marked 36.1% and 57.6% of people have positive image on Naoto Kan.

Anyway, the election will be hold in July or later and at that time the candidates could use the internet during the campaign... If the bill could be passed...

I wrote about that before. At that time, I wrote the bill will be passed soon and the candidates will be able to use the internet during the campaign from this summer's election of the house of councillors. But after the resignation of Yukio Hatoyama, it seems be difficult to pass in current Diet session.

If the bill could not be passed in current Diet session, it will be used on the next election that will be hold 3 years later... 3 years... How do you think about that?

Thank you.

The Cove

The Cove is the Oscar winner in 2010, and it is the film that about dolphin hunting in Japan. I didn't know that there is a place that people eat dolphin in Japan, until I heard about this film.

Also, I could know that the dolphin hunt is holding in several places and it's not only in Japan. And these are not illegal. I could know these facts, because I searched it, read some books...

I'm writing about "the cove" because I heard that "the cove" has been screened and some negative responses from viewers to the theatres. I hope that I can watch it because I might know the things that I don't know. (whether fact or not)

Thank you.

What is baobab

This is a photo of Pepsi's limited flavor "baobab". I forgot how many limited flavors did they released. But there are many and I posted about these limited flavors in these years. You may find these articles that I posted before, if you search it.

Anyway, I didn't know the word "baobab", but I could know a little bit about "baobab" from the label of this bottle. According to that, "baobab" is large tree that grow in Africa continent.

I think, it is not edible. So, I don't know why they decided to choose "baobab" as their limited flavor.

BUT
I like this flavor. I think, "Pepsi baobab" is the best flavor in their limited flavors such as "ice cucumber", "Azuki" and so on. If you have a chance to drink it, you should try it! But I think, you can buy it only in Japan and only in this summer...

Thank you.

Again

(Photo: Front page of the Yomiuri Shimbun evening version on 2nd June.)

I've just changed the title of today's article because Yukio Hatoyama the 93rd Prime Minister of Japan resigned today.

I've started to write about today's article from this morning. (Usually, I post an article as soon as I wrote it. But today, I didn't do that because I felt that I should wait to post it... )At that time, the title was "again and again?". Yeah, I didn't think he would resign today at that time...

I felt that he should not resign today, because there is an election in July and he should consider his clarify his attitude after the election. I don't want to advocate him, but he should work as Prime Minister of Japan until September...

I think, it is crazy that 4 new Prime Ministers of Japan appeared last 4 years. And 94th Prime Minister of Japan will be appeared soon. Most of media think Naoto Kan(菅直人) will be the next Prime Minister of Japan. I hope he will keep in his position as Prime Minister of Japan more than a year. How do you think about it?

Thank you.

Sunny days before the rainy season.

Today is the official day to change clothes for new season in many schools which have their uniform. I saw these students who wear summer uniform today. I don't have to change uniform for new season, because my college don't have uniform.

Anyway, I'm gonna write a little bit about rainy season in Japan. The rainy season starts 8th June in Tokyo (average year), but some weather forecast says it might be late.

Wonderful sunny days will be continued at least week. Well, it's sounds really nice for me, because I like to ride bicycle and it's really nice to ride it on sunny day. But I hope the rainy season come to us soon, because it's already rainy season. I don't need heat wave in this season.

Thank you.
