Silence before the storm?
According to the weather forecast, the typhoon will hit near Nagoya tomorrow morning. Then some trains in Tokyo might be delay because of this typhoon. It might be difficult for me to go to college tomorrow...
Anyway, if there's some problems to go to college by train, the classes might be canceled. In these cases, they send us mail before the class start. I think, this service is pretty good but there's some problems. Sometimes they send us extra information. Special lectures, swine flu information, extra homework and so on. I don't need such unwanted mails...
Thank you.

free coffee offering
Yesterday, I went to McDonald’s with my friend. These days McDonald’s is offering free coffee. Between 15.00 to 16.00, we can drink free Hot or Iced coffee at every McDonald’s in Japan. This campaign will be continued for 3 weeks, I heard. But the time of offering time will change in a week. This week the time is 15.00 to 16.00 but next week, it will be 22.00 to 23.00. And next next week, it will be 9.00 to 10.00.
This is not the first time to offer free coffee at McDonald’s Japan. I forgot when but they were offering free coffee in this year. I didn’t try it during that campaign. But this time I tried to drink free coffee at the nearest McDonald’s.
It’s rare for me to go to McDonald’s because I felt food of McDonald’s is unhealthy. Of course, I can easily eat low-priced foods at McDonald’s. And I don’t have to wait long time. It’s so convenient but I don’t think they are offering healthy foods because I watched “Super size me”.... lol
And I have one more reason that why it’s rare for me to go to McDonald’s. Sometimes the coffee that McDonald’s offer is really terrible, I felt. So, it’s rare to go to McDonald’s. (The coffee that I drunk yesterday was better one, I felt.)
Thank you.

2016 Olympic
Anyway, the hosting city have elected on Friday. But it was mid-night in Tokyo. I heard the vote started at 12.00 a.m. (JST). I didn’t know the result until I read the newspaper in the morning. But there’s articles that only about Tokyo because the newspaper’s deadline was before the final vote, I think. So, I need to check the Internet then I could know the Rio de Janeiro will host 2016 Olympic games.
I’ve never been to Brazil yet. And I want to go there! (I want to go to many many countries in the world...) I hope my trip to Brazil will realize until 2016. Or if I can, I wanna go to Brazil during the Olympic games. lol
But before that there’s 3 more Olympic games. 2010 Vancouver (winter), 2012 London (summer) and 2014 Sochi (winter). Let’s enjoy these Olympic games!! Anyway, I hope Tokyo will candidate for 2020 Olympic games!!
Thank you.

Ponyo
There’s some places that inspired the animation film. Tomonoura(鞆の浦) in Hiroshima prefecture is inspired Hayao Miyazaki’s animation film “Ponyo on the cliff by the sea(崖の上のポニョ)”. I didn’t know about this but yesterday I could know this.
There’s the plan that most of citizens in Tomonoura agreed. The plan is to build the new road in Tomonoura. I’ve never been there so, I don’t know much about the place. I heard that the roads in there are too old and need to expand it. But it’s difficult to remake the road there. To build expanded road there, they must to broke some houses and rebuild these one. So, the new plan appeared. In this new plan, part of Tomonoura would become landfill.
In 2007, Tomonoura elected as the 100 historical landscape in Japan. And in 2008, Ponyo on the cliff by the sea shown out.
Yesterday, I could know this place because some media in Japan treated this place. There’s trouble that is about the new road plan that I explained on top of this article. Some environment activists sued the government to stop the plan. Hiroshima local court judged to stop the plan. Of course, the planners may appeal the court ruling. But this will be the big one step to keep wonderful landscape in Tomonoura.
Hayao Miyazaki commented about this judge. I couldn’t find all of his comment to this judge, then I gave up to write about this... Sorry.
Anyway, if I can, I want to visit Tomonoura. And I hope the people can keep the wonderful landscape until I go there.
Thank you.

Making songs with Twitter
I'm not so good at using Twitter. I don't know how I should use it. But I have an account of Twitter and I'm just following two activists in Japan. One of them is Japanese famous singer Kohmi Hirose. I think, she is using Twitter very well. I hope that I can use Twitter like her... lol
I forgot when but she releaed her song that about "Twitter". She tweeted about that song. I heard she made that song because she wanted to say "thank you" to the follower of her. She tweeted that "only thing that she can do is singing". So, she made that song for her followers.
Anyway, last weekend she was tweeted about Akihabara(秋葉原) the city in Tokyo that is famous for electronics goods, animation, manga, etc. There are many otaku(geeks). According to her tweet, she had never been to Akihabara and she wanted to visit there. So, on Saturday she went to Akihabara to know about Akihabara. And she started to make new song that about Akihabara.
On Wednesday, the song distributed on her blog. I heard that the song will become ring tone in next week and maybe this song will sell on iTunes. But you can check her new song on her blog. Some online media broadcasted about this news. I felt this might be the new style of making songs. You can listen to her song from "http://www.hirose-kohmi.jp/blog/?p=2550";. This is the second song that she made with followers of her. And she is planning to make third song in October. Wow, she might change the Japanese music scene...
Thank you.
