Day of Showa
Today is national holiday “Day of Showa” but I needed to go to the college to take some classes. For most of Japanese, today is national holiday. They went to many places I think. But tomorrow and day after tomorrow are not holiday. Then not so many Japanese went to the remote place I think. I needed to go to the college then I have a day off on this Friday.
Day of Showa was Greenery day until 2007. But before that Greenery day was Showa emperor’s birthday. Both greenery day and the emperor’s birthday are national holiday stil. Greenery day is now 4th May. The emperor’s birthday is now 23rd December.
