Self-made TLR camera
I like to take photos. So I sometimes take photos with my DSLR camera and my iPhone 4. And I sometimes upload to flickr or facebook.
Anyway, on Friday, I went to bookshop to buy some books. At that time, I found the self-made twin lens reflex camera kit there. I bought it on impulse... lol
I need to make it to use it. Then I made it as soon as I arrived at my house. And here it is.
I need to buy film to take some photos with this. So, I will take it soon.
Thank you.

Too strong yen
I don't think the government is working good against the strong yen. I hope they will take efficient actions.
Anyway, the Japanese yen is strong against most of currencies, it might be good news for me. We can go abroad with cheaper prices under the strong yen. Also, we can buy imported things cheaper. Of course, it's not good for Japanese economy...
Thank you.

Super size me?
I watched the cinema "Super size me" long ago. I've never eaten the "super size", but I felt it's really big and I don't want to eat such a large cup of coke and other things... lol
Anyway, I ate big mac yesterday. These days I didn't eat at McDonald's because the price at McDonald's got increased, I felt. Also, it's not good for health...
So, I've never eaten big mac for several years. But yesterday, I found the flier. According to the flier, we can buy big mac for 200 JPY (about 2.4 USD) in limited time. And that special price will be ended today. So, until today we can buy big mac for 200 JPY.
I felt it's really cheap because most of burgers that are selling in McDonald's Japan is much expensive, I felt. So, I decided to go to McDonald's and eat big mac for my lunch yesterday... lol
At that time, I accidentally remember the cinema "Super size me". I didn't know that, but I found that we can watch the cinema on google video. I googled "super size me" this morning, then I found that we can watch full length of "super size me". If you want, visit "http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1432315846377280008#".
Thank you.

During my absence
This weekend I joined the college's event. This event is for elementary school students and junior-high school students. We made some booths that they can enjoy and learn about science and engineering. For example, they can steer the robot, they can make basic kaleidoscope, they can make wind powered car and so on.
Also there were some booths that were not so related to science or engineering. I worked as central staff. I heard more than 2,300 people visited the event during this two days. I think, it's really many people visited the event. I hope they could enjoy the event.
Of course, I also joined cleaning after the event...
Anyway, the photo on top is not photo of kaleidoscope.
Thank you.

About Hong Kong
But it might be difficult to trip this summer. So, I decided to give up to visit Hong Kong this summer.
Well, I have another plan to trip. But not this summer. Now, I'm planning to go somewhere in next February or next March. I believe that I can realize that.
Thank you.

High incomes
Well, I was surprised that news about Nomura Holdings' monthly income for recruiters who will work from next April. According to the news, the average income of 22 years old college graduates is about 210,000 JPY (about 2,450 USD). But recruiters who will work for Nomura Holdings next year will be 542,000 JPY (about 6,320 USD).
Wow, it's more than twice than usual college graduates!! Of course, I'm not going to work for Nomura next April...
Anyway, the recruits who work for Nomura with 542,000 JPY of monthly income must satisfy several requirements. So, there are only 40 recruits who satisfied that. Also Nomura will hire 260 other recruits who will work for Nomura from next April with about 200,000 JPY of monthly income.
I don't care much about monthly income yet, because I'm just recruits. Of course, I hope that I can earn that how much I worked and how much I could play parts.
Thank you.

Sphere ice
Yesterday, the highest temperature marked this seasons highest in many places Japan. In Nerima, Tokyo the highest temperature of yesterday was 38.1 degrees (Celsius).
Also today, it's marked highest again! The highest temperature in Nerima, Tokyo was 38.2 degrees (Celsius). I think, if we see this temperature on thermometer, we should go to bed.
I didn't check well, but my room's temperature is nearly 40 degrees (Celsius) yesterday and today. It's because I didn't turn on the air conditioner at my room. It's crazy.
Because it's really hot and humid, so I drunk several cups of iced coffee these days. Last month, my parents upgraded refrigerator and that new refrigerator can make a lot of ice. I was surprised because clean and many ices appeared inside the box. Then we can use ice easily and these ices disappear rapidly because we use ice much more.
Last week, I bought new ice tray that can make sphere ice. Today's photos are the sphere ices. These sphere ices are big, so it's take much time to melt and that mean I can enjoy iced something longer time. Of course, the coffee would be diluted...
But I should be careful not to take caffeine too much.
Thank you.

I could think more about the Pacific War during the weekend. And I thought that I should know more about that.
Thank you.

past, present, future
First, I visited Yesukuni Shrine (靖国神社). Also, I went to Yushukan (遊就館). Yushukan is the museum of Japan's war history, but I felt the contents of Yushukan is grossly one-sided which is to say beautification of Japanese wars. I went there because I wanted to know that war in both side.
In Yasukuni Shrine, there are many Japanese who worked to built modern Japan. Also, there are some Japanese that treated as war criminals. It's difficult problem that which we should pray for it or not, but we should know about our history correctly.
After that, I went to Matsuya Ginza (松屋銀座). It's a department store in Ginza (Tokyo's most luxurious shopping district), but my purpose was not shopping. I just want to visit this exhibition that held in Matsuya Ginza.
It was the exhibition about Dyson's air multiplier. I've never seen air multiplier, so I wanted to watch it and know more about it. Then I went there. The exhibits are not so many, but I could enjoy it.
And finally, I visited 21_21 design sight in Roppongi.
Yes, again! lol
I believed that there are not so many people, but there were many many people...
Some of the staff told me that I may have to wait more than an hour to enjoy the exhibit. But I entered the exhibition. I could enjoy some of exhibits, but I took really long time... So, I wanted to go there again! It must be fun! If you have a chance, you should check this one.
So, I went to 3 different places today. I walked a lot. I'm a little tired now... So, I'm gonna sleep! lol
Thank you.

100 of photos
I forgot how many photos that I took on 8th August. I couldn't join the carrying portable shrine due to my injury this year. That means I could take enough time to take photos with my DSLR and iPhone 4.
Well, I thought that it's difficult to take photos with my DSLR, because I could use only one hand but I could do that. Mostly, I like to take photos with manual setting. I used to change focus, shatter speed, diaphragm and ISO at every time before I shoot. But if I refer these settings to my DSLR, all I need to do is just shooting. And that means I could take thousands of photos on 8th August. lol
I wanted to check all of these photos on my MacBook, but my MacBook is not working smoothly these days... Maybe I should check new MacBook or MacBook Pro or MacBook Air.
Then I decided to upload all of my photos that I took on 8th August. So, there are some blurred photos... Sorry for that.
Also, I took some videos with iPhone 4. Because iPhone 4 can take 720p HD video, I couldn't check well on my MacBook again... (My MacBook's graphic chip is too poor to edit/watch HD video.) So, I uploaded all of them. If you have a time, please check them and comment to them.
You can access to my photos and videos from link below.

Google updates
Well, I like the new comment moderation page. I receive 2-3 spam comments everyday on my blog, so I'm checking these comments and judge them wether publish or not. Because of this, I need time to publish usual comments on my blog. (Sorry for that...)
Google's new service on blogger mark these spam comments as "spam" and I can check previous comments easily. I think, it's really helpful for me...
Also, they changed their gmail design. Finally, the rainbow cursor disappeared from gmail. lol
I mean the google buzz button displaced from side bar. I didn't like google buzz's icon so, I like their updates. lol
I think, software updates such as Windows updates are really annoying, but mostly these updates may include really nice issues. I hope software companies will updates their services with these nice features.
Thank you.

Talk more, think more
I think the Japanese government apologised to many Asian countries several years ago. (I forgot exactly when.) Anyway, I don't care that they apologise or not. But they must talk more openly, I felt. I think the statement is not reflecting our opinion. They must not ignore our opinion!
Also, I think they should not force their cabinet member to forgo the visit to Yasukuni shrine. Of course, there are some war criminals, but there are also our ancestors who worked for Japan.
Thank you.

testing android
Anyway, I was using iPhone 3G until I've got iPhone 4, and now I'm not using it... I was thinking about this device because I wanted to renew it. Also I was thinking that I wanna try android...
So, I decided to install android OS to my iPhone 3G. Well, I was thinking that it's really difficult to install android into iPhone 3G, because it is unusual. But there are many many people who are developing these kind of tools in the world. I could do that easily.
Here are some photos that android 2.2 running on my iPhone 3G.
Well, it's working. I could connect to Wi-Fi network and installed some apps.
I didn't care that my iPhone 3G might be broken, because I'm not using iPhone 3G now. If you like to do that, you should be careful. These kind of thing might destroy your iPhone.
Here are some tools that I used.
*redsn0w (http://wikee.iphwn.org/howto:rs9)
jailbreak tool
*iPhoDroid 0.6 R12d (http://code.google.com/p/iphodroid/downloads/list)
install android 2.2 to jailbroken iPhone 3G
*RecBoot 1.0.2 (http://www.sebby.net/443-recboot-final-release/)
turn your iPhone into recovery mode
(it's not necessary but I couldn't turn my iPhone 3G into recovery mode well so I used it)
I did this with my MacBook (Late 2007) Mac OS X 10.5.8
I couldn't install many apps on it yet, but I could try Facebook for android. I felt it's looks like iPhone's one and it works same as iPhone. But I prefer iPhone's keyboard. Anyway, I will try more later.
Thank you.

Matsuri
I was planning to carry portable shrine as usual, but it seems to be difficult... There are many reasons but I will not be able to join. Of course, I'm gonna walk with them and take some photos. So, please wait until I'll take some photos and upload them. lol
If you wanna know more about this festival, please visit their official web page from http://www.hachiojimatsuri.jp/ . But this page is only written in Japanese...
Thank you.

English as official language
This year, UNIQLO and Rakuten both Japanese companies announced that they will make English their official in-house language. Also Rakuten already did their earnings announcement in English, today.
Well, I'm not planning to work for both company, but I should study English more... I might working outside Japan in very near future...
Thank you.

My first touch to iPad
Today, I went to the nearest electronics retail shop, I found the iPad there. I had a time to try it a little bit then. So, I tried it there.
I felt the big screen is nice. It useful when I visit some web sites that is not ready for iPhone's small screen. Also I felt the speed of iPad is OK, but I should check more because I couldn't use Apps downloaded from AppStore at that time.
But it's a little heavy. I don't want to hold it in one-hand for long time such as train. And it's not supporting multitasking yet. So, I wanna try it after the multitasking would be available on iPad too.
Also, I should check the monthly fees. Well, I wanna use it anywhere, but I don't want to pay another monthly fee anymore. I hope the Wi-Fi hotspots with no charge will be available in many places.
Thank you.

What's going on Japan?
Now, there are more than 40,000 people who are more than 100 years old in Japan. According to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's press release, there are 40,399 people who are more than 100 years old in Japan. (as of 1st September, 2009)
There are really many aged people in Japan. I felt so strongly, when I heard this number.
But...
Back to the news article.
According to the news, there are 18 people who are missing these years.
The news started with the news that 111 years old man found dead in his house in Tokyo. He was living with his family but his family didn't submit the death report to the city office. According to the news, the family might got pension illegally for about 30 years.
Japanese Health Minister Akira Nagatsuma announced that they will start to interview with more than 110 years old people.
I felt the relationship in family are becoming less and less...
Thank you.

fireworks 2010
Last Saturday, the Fireworks festival held in several areas in Japan. The fireworks festival at Sumidagawa is the most famous one, I think. I didn't go to watch the fireworks festival at Sumidagawa, but I watched the fireworks festival at my hometown.
I took some photos and videos with my iPhone 4 and uploaded some of them to flickr. If you like, please check the link below. http://www.flickr.com/photos/masaya_yoshizawa/sets/72157624496314621/
Anyway, the summer festival in my hometown will be started from next Friday. Yeah, this Friday!
On Saturday, and Sunday, I'm gonna join 八王子まつり(Hachioji matsuri) as usual, and I'm gonna carry 神輿(portable shrine). Also, I'm gonna take some photos, but it may be difficult to take many photos... And upload these photos later. I'm gonna write more about Hachioji Matsuri on Friday, but if you wanna know more, please contact me!
Thank you.
