Day of Tamagokakegohan
Tamagokakegohan is Japanese food that really easy to cook it. To make Tamagokakegohan, we need bowl of rice, raw egg and soy source. I sometimes eat this in the morning.
Usually, I use usual soy source but there's some special soy sources. I've never used this special soy source (たまごかけご飯専用醤油) but if I have a chance, I wanna try this.
Thank you.

PEPSI Azuki
Yesterday, I found new taste of PEPSI again at the convenience store!! Of course, I bought it and tried it yesterday...
They released “PEPSI shiso” before and I posted about that at that time, I believe. If you have a time, please check it too from (here).
The new taste of PEPSI’s name is “PEPSI Azuki”. I think, “Azuki(小豆)” is Japanese word. Maybe I should say “small beans” or “adzuki beans”. According to its package, we can enjoy delicately sweetened adzuki beans and fresh blast of PEPSI.
Then I tried it...
I felt this have a wonder taste... But I hope that they will try new taste as soon as possible. I may post about their new taste when I find it. I don’t feel this is good taste but if you have a time, please try this... lol
Thank you.

smells like a beer
The room smelt like beer but I didn’t drink beer yesterday... Anybody in the room didn’t drink beer at that time. Of course, there’s no beer... We didn’t find the reason that why did room smell like beer...
Was someone drinking beer in outside? NO. There’s no people who were drinking beer... Did someone spill beer to their clothe? NO. No one spilled beer to their clothe. Did someone drink before come to the room? NO. No one drunk before they come to the room... Then why?
I think, we searched the reason for about half an hour...
Finally, we found the reason that why did the room smell like a beer. This smell was because of gum. We couldn’t find the source of this smell because the gum don’t smell until I chewed it... One of us was chewing this gum so, the room smelt like beer...
I felt we need to take care when we buy gum... lol
Thank you.

stealth typhoon
I couldn’t notice that the 20th typhoon was coming. Of course, this typhoon is not stealth... I only heard the typhoon would hit Okinawa so, I didn’t think they come to us. Also, I couldn’t watch weather forecast enough, I just watched the weather in my area. On weekend, the weather was not good.
I didn’t think this bad weather was because of typhoon... I first notice that the typhoon was in near Japan yesterday. According to the weather forecast the bad weather on weekend and on Monday was not because of typhoon. This was because of the front near Kanto area. Typhoon activated this front and rained, I heard.
Anyway, today is really nice weather. How about in your place?
Thank you.

white taiyaki
Taiyaki is one of the typical Japanese sweets. I don’t know how do I say Taiyaki in English then I searched a little bit but mostly the name is really long... For example, “a fish-shaped pancake suffered with bean jam”... I think, it’s difficult to tell you about Taiyaki in English by myself so, if you have a chance to eat Taiyaki, you should try it. lol
Anyway, mostly Taiyaki is not white. In fact, this was the first time to eat “white” taiyaki yesterday. Usually, Taiyaki is brown. I ate cheese flavor and cream flavor of white Taiyaki yesterday, but mostly there’s bean jam inside usual Taiyaki. I felt something weird when I found white Taiyaki... I found and ate white Taiyaki yesterday but it was not my first time to see it.
Thank you.

comic library
After Japanese political power changed, the plan of National media art synthesis centre (国立メディア芸術総合センター) also disappeared. I felt the plan is quite interesting. We can enjoy manga, animations, CG arts, games and some other things there. I felt the tourist from foreign countries may increase because of this centre but it’s not suitable to Japan now. We’re in the recession and the political power changed dynamically.
Yesterday, Meiji University the major private university in Tokyo announced that they are now planning to build “Tokyo international manga library” (東京国際マンガ図書館) in their Surugadai campus in Tokyo. This will be the largest manga library in the world.
According to their announcement, the manga library will be open in 2014 and there’s more than 2 million materials that about sub-culture. We need to wait a little bit. Not only the student of Meiji University, we can go there and enjoy mangas there. I felt, this will be quite interesting.
Thank you.

once upon a time
I’m posting my blog to improve my English. So, I try to use new phrases or words in this blog. But sometimes, I can’t use it on my blog. For example, the phrase “once upon a time”.
Usually, I don’t write old tales because most of them are already translated by someone. And I think, I’m not good at translating Japanese stories into English one. I believe that translators must know about both Japanese and English literature to translate something exactly and easy to read.
I’m not majoring Japanese literature and even English literature in my college. I’m in college of technology so there’s only a few classes of English and Japanese. Most of the classes are about electronic circuits, mathematics and so on. Of course, I’m not going to become a translator in the future. So, I’m not worrying about that.
These days, I didn’t have a chance to talk with foreigners. But on Tuesday, I talked a little bit with foreigner in English. At that time, I recognized that I need to know more words... My vocabulary is totally limited... So, I felt that I need to increase my vocabulary...
How do I increase my vocabulary? Well, reading books is one of the best way to increase vocabulary, I think. Then, I will read English books. I’ve read one English book before and that title is “a walk to remember”. But after I read “a walk to remember”, I’ve never read English book until today...
I think, this is the best timing to start reading English book because we are in the autumn. In Japan there’s famous phrase called “Autumn for readin”. This is because Autumn is neither hot nor cold so, it’s the best season for reading.
Anyway, yesterday, in the midnight I tried to find meteor but I couldn’t find it... There’s only a few stars. I think, if I’m in more rural area, I can watch more stars and meteors. But I couldn’t find it... How about you did you find it?
Thank you.

meteor shower
Now we are in the season of Orionid meteor shower. From 19th October to 23rd October, we can see many meteors in east sky in Japan. We can see every year but in this year we can see a lot of meteors. According to some sources, I may watch over 30 shooting stars per an hour.
I’m not astronomy maniac and I’ve never watched Orionid meteor shower before. But if I can, I wanna watch meteor shower this time. How about in your place? Can you see the Orionid meteor shower?
Thank you.

Self marking
In TOEIC test, we can’t bring back question paper. So, we can’t marking by ourselves to check the score. But the examination that I took on Sunday, we can bring back question paper. And we can write something onto the question paper. There’s some other test that we can write something onto the question paper and can bring back the question paper. For example, we can do these things when we take Eiken. I’m now planning to take Eiken pre-1st grade test next June. I didn’t take Eiken test these years, I couldn’t get Eiken pre-1st grade when I took before. So, this is take 2. I think, I can get this grade but I have to study for that...
Anyway, I marked Sunday’s examination by myself. I wrote down my answers onto my question paper. But I didn’t write down all of my answers onto it...
Then, I can mark part of it by myself. The organizer of this examination is preparing their model answers. And we can download it from their homepage. I downloaded it and checked my answers...
According to my self marking, I may passed half of the examination. But another one... I think, I couldn’t pass it. But there’s some unknown answers... I didn’t write down every answers onto the question paper so, I couldn’t check all of it.
So, I may passed another one too. But I believe I couldn’t pass it... I’ll study for next time examination next April. And I’ll post the result of this examination as soon as I can.
Thank you.

At a vocational college
I took an examination yesterday. Fundamental Information Technology Engineer Examination. This is the examination that I took yesterday. I don't know the result yet. But I think, I couldn’t pass this examination because I couldn’t study much for this examination. There’s many things that I need to do until yesterday... So, I couldn’t concentrated on this examination....
But I felt I may pass next time. Of course, I need to study more until next examination but I may pass this examination next time. I felt examination that I took yesterday was easier than I expected. So, I’m planning to take this examination again in next April. Of course, if I could pass this examination this time, I’m not going to take this examination in next April...
BTW, I went to a vocational college to take this examination. Now I’m student of national college. And I’ve never been to vocational college... Then this was my first time to visit this vocational college.
When I arrived at this vocational college, I felt “what a large college!!”. My college is not so large so I was surprised... There’s many buildings (that like office buildings...), fountain, garden, and etc...
I found one building that looks like building in Stanford University(I’ve never been there but I’ve seen some photos). I wanna study in such a place. So, I may study in this college...
Of course, I'm joking. lol
I uploaded some of photos that I took yesterday on flickr. Please check it from “http://www.flickr.com/photos/masaya_yoshizawa/sets/72157622610254518/”. But yesterday, I took with my iPhone so, it’s not so good...
Anyway, I hope that I can pass the examination next time... lol
Thank you.

mammoth meat!?
Yesterday, I found mammoth meat at the supermarket. And its cost only ¥108(about 1.2 USD). I've never seen living mammoth before. But I saw mammoth's skeleton replica before...
According to the wikipedia, they lived from around 4.8 million to 4,500 years ago. And they are all extinct now.
So, how they get mammoth meat? I think, it's impossible to use mammoth meat for such a cheap food. And of course, this is not real mammoth meat. This is snack food that sell in Japan. Don't get wrong idea. Japanese don't eat mammoth meat now, I think.
There's many funny foods in the supermarket. If I have a chance, I will post article about other funny food that I find. And if you find it, please tell me.. lol
Thank you.

blog action day 09 : climate change
What can we do for environment? Well, many companies are advertising that they are trying to reduce CO2.
Anyway, I'm doing 3 things.
1: use bicycle
I'm using bicycle. And I'm planning to buy new bicycle. Now eco-friendly car buyers receive tax credit and subsidy. But cars emit CO2 and not so good to environment, I felt. For bicycle buyers, there's no subsidy and tax credit... But this is better for environment. Not to use taxi and bus. And I'm trying to use bicycle and train.
2: not to use plastic bags
I think, plastic bags are the most unnecessary thing. Most of us have their own bags. And there's many shops that they are over packaging items. I don't want such over packages.
3: turn off items that not using
I'm trying to turn off unnecessary electronic goods. I think, this action will also reduce my power rate... Good for environment and my wallet.
There's more actions that we can do for environment. We should introduce these ideas to our life. So, this is my action on blog action day. What will you post today?
Thank you.

one day
On 26th, August, I got an e-mail that about blog action day 09. Last year, I first joined blog action day. I think, I posted an article that about poverty last year. If you have a time, please check that one too...
So, this is my second time to join blog action day. Since I got the mail, I was thinking about this year’s post. The theme is climate change. Sometimes I posted about climate change on my blog but these days I didn’t post article that about climate change I felt. Then this might be good chance to post about climate change.
Japan’s new prime minister declared that Japan will reduce 25% CO2 compared to 1990 level by 2020. I think, this is very good chance to post about climate change tomorrow. I will post about my eco-friendly actions tomorrow. But I’m not good at writing English so, it might be difficult to understand... Sorry for my poor English...
Anyway, have you registered for blog action day 09?
Thank you.

Brushing someone's teeth
When I was watching movie, I heard this song first time. After I watched the movie, I replayed it to listen to that song again. (I was watching the movie on DVD) And after that, I used 'shazam' to check the song name and band name.
They were anonymass and the song name was 'still life'. I browsed iTunes store to download that song. But there's no anonymass on iTunes store... So I tried to find them on amazon.co.jp. And I found their song on amazon.co.jp.
I ordered it as soon as I can buy it on amazon.co.jp. I played the CD as soon as I got the CD. Then I found there's the sound that someone is brushing his (or her) teeth. I've never listened such music. But it's too far out and really nice, I felt. If you have a time, please check their sound.
Thank you.

tumbler
Sometimes, I go to Starbucks coffee house. Of course, I can’t go there everyday because the price at Starbucks coffee is not cheap... If I can, I want to go to Starbucks every morning. But mostly I drip coffee at home...
Mostly I go there with book that I’m reading. I love to read a book there with a cup of coffee. I like music, aroma of coffee at Starbucks coffee. But I don’t like noisy customer there. Usually, I don’t bring my tumbler but sometimes I bring my tumbler. I think, this is a good news for me...
Starbucks coffee Japan is now in campaign called “Bring My Cup”. During this campaign we can drink every drinks there with 50 yen discount. But we need to bring our tumbler. Usually, they offer a cup of coffee with 20 yen discount if we bring our tumbler. But until 3rd, November, we can get more discount...
I heard this campaign have started since last week. But.... I couldn’t go there until today. I hope I can go there with my tumbler until 3rd, November.
Thank you.

After the storm
Finally, all classes that I’m taking have canceled because of typhoon No.18. Most of trains and shinkansens stopped because of this. And some of them delayed. Strong and large typhoon No.18 hit Japan. But now it’s sunny and hot. I think, the temperature increased more than 5 degrees today.
I think, there’s no problems around my house. The trains have restarted now. Strong winds and heavy rain stopped. The clouds are moving quickly and black clouds are disappearing. There’s leaves and toppled bicycles.
But there’s some damages I heard. According to the news, the tornado hit Ibaraki prefecture. More than 2,000,000 people needed to wait or give up for using train in Tokyo area because most of trains in Tokyo stopped. If the classes haven’t canceled today, I might wait long time to ride train... I don’t have to wait long time at platform today but I might have make-up classes at the beginning of winter holidays...
Anyway, typhoon No.18 is still in Tohoku area (東北地方) in Japan. This might effect to more people... And I have one more worry. The earthquake that hit Vanuatu this morning. I heard the earthquake hit Vanuatu but there’s no news about this... They are broadcasting only about typhoon No.18...
Thank you.

Silence before the storm?
According to the weather forecast, the typhoon will hit near Nagoya tomorrow morning. Then some trains in Tokyo might be delay because of this typhoon. It might be difficult for me to go to college tomorrow...
Anyway, if there's some problems to go to college by train, the classes might be canceled. In these cases, they send us mail before the class start. I think, this service is pretty good but there's some problems. Sometimes they send us extra information. Special lectures, swine flu information, extra homework and so on. I don't need such unwanted mails...
Thank you.

free coffee offering
Yesterday, I went to McDonald’s with my friend. These days McDonald’s is offering free coffee. Between 15.00 to 16.00, we can drink free Hot or Iced coffee at every McDonald’s in Japan. This campaign will be continued for 3 weeks, I heard. But the time of offering time will change in a week. This week the time is 15.00 to 16.00 but next week, it will be 22.00 to 23.00. And next next week, it will be 9.00 to 10.00.
This is not the first time to offer free coffee at McDonald’s Japan. I forgot when but they were offering free coffee in this year. I didn’t try it during that campaign. But this time I tried to drink free coffee at the nearest McDonald’s.
It’s rare for me to go to McDonald’s because I felt food of McDonald’s is unhealthy. Of course, I can easily eat low-priced foods at McDonald’s. And I don’t have to wait long time. It’s so convenient but I don’t think they are offering healthy foods because I watched “Super size me”.... lol
And I have one more reason that why it’s rare for me to go to McDonald’s. Sometimes the coffee that McDonald’s offer is really terrible, I felt. So, it’s rare to go to McDonald’s. (The coffee that I drunk yesterday was better one, I felt.)
Thank you.

2016 Olympic
Anyway, the hosting city have elected on Friday. But it was mid-night in Tokyo. I heard the vote started at 12.00 a.m. (JST). I didn’t know the result until I read the newspaper in the morning. But there’s articles that only about Tokyo because the newspaper’s deadline was before the final vote, I think. So, I need to check the Internet then I could know the Rio de Janeiro will host 2016 Olympic games.
I’ve never been to Brazil yet. And I want to go there! (I want to go to many many countries in the world...) I hope my trip to Brazil will realize until 2016. Or if I can, I wanna go to Brazil during the Olympic games. lol
But before that there’s 3 more Olympic games. 2010 Vancouver (winter), 2012 London (summer) and 2014 Sochi (winter). Let’s enjoy these Olympic games!! Anyway, I hope Tokyo will candidate for 2020 Olympic games!!
Thank you.

Ponyo
There’s some places that inspired the animation film. Tomonoura(鞆の浦) in Hiroshima prefecture is inspired Hayao Miyazaki’s animation film “Ponyo on the cliff by the sea(崖の上のポニョ)”. I didn’t know about this but yesterday I could know this.
There’s the plan that most of citizens in Tomonoura agreed. The plan is to build the new road in Tomonoura. I’ve never been there so, I don’t know much about the place. I heard that the roads in there are too old and need to expand it. But it’s difficult to remake the road there. To build expanded road there, they must to broke some houses and rebuild these one. So, the new plan appeared. In this new plan, part of Tomonoura would become landfill.
In 2007, Tomonoura elected as the 100 historical landscape in Japan. And in 2008, Ponyo on the cliff by the sea shown out.
Yesterday, I could know this place because some media in Japan treated this place. There’s trouble that is about the new road plan that I explained on top of this article. Some environment activists sued the government to stop the plan. Hiroshima local court judged to stop the plan. Of course, the planners may appeal the court ruling. But this will be the big one step to keep wonderful landscape in Tomonoura.
Hayao Miyazaki commented about this judge. I couldn’t find all of his comment to this judge, then I gave up to write about this... Sorry.
Anyway, if I can, I want to visit Tomonoura. And I hope the people can keep the wonderful landscape until I go there.
Thank you.

Making songs with Twitter
I'm not so good at using Twitter. I don't know how I should use it. But I have an account of Twitter and I'm just following two activists in Japan. One of them is Japanese famous singer Kohmi Hirose. I think, she is using Twitter very well. I hope that I can use Twitter like her... lol
I forgot when but she releaed her song that about "Twitter". She tweeted about that song. I heard she made that song because she wanted to say "thank you" to the follower of her. She tweeted that "only thing that she can do is singing". So, she made that song for her followers.
Anyway, last weekend she was tweeted about Akihabara(秋葉原) the city in Tokyo that is famous for electronics goods, animation, manga, etc. There are many otaku(geeks). According to her tweet, she had never been to Akihabara and she wanted to visit there. So, on Saturday she went to Akihabara to know about Akihabara. And she started to make new song that about Akihabara.
On Wednesday, the song distributed on her blog. I heard that the song will become ring tone in next week and maybe this song will sell on iTunes. But you can check her new song on her blog. Some online media broadcasted about this news. I felt this might be the new style of making songs. You can listen to her song from "http://www.hirose-kohmi.jp/blog/?p=2550";. This is the second song that she made with followers of her. And she is planning to make third song in October. Wow, she might change the Japanese music scene...
Thank you.
